Defense Tea Ingredients:

Heartsease (Viola tricolor) / wild Pansy /Johnny Jump Up - was formerly official in the United States Pharmacopoeia. Heartsease encourages cell strength & healing of capillaries. It is particularly valued for addressing capillary fragility, which can reduce bruising, broken capillaries, and edema.

THINK - anti hemorrhagic. Seals and strengthens the walls of capillaries.

  • High Rutin Content: Heartsease contains a high concentration of rutin, a flavonoid glycoside that strengthens capillary walls and maintains their integrity.
  • Anti-inflammatory Action: Both rutin and salicylic acid derivatives in the plant help reduce inflammation, which is beneficial for vascular health. Helps reduce fever.
  • Thanks to the large amount of saponins, which increase mucus secretion and enhance the expectoration reflex, Heartsease tea cleanses the bronchi.

Catnip (Nepeta cataria) - is a traditional, gentle, and effective herbal remedy used to "break" fevers by acting as a diaphoretic— Catnip acts as a mild sedative and nerve relaxant in humans, helping to calm restlessness, irritability, and anxiety associated with being sick.

Alfalfa (Medicago sativa) - is an exceptionally rich source of chlorophyll, which is commonly used for its detoxifying properties. While the idea that it "cleanses the blood" is often used, the scientific basis for this is largely derived from studies on chlorophyllin and its ability to support liver function and bind to toxins.

Carrots - are an excellent source of beta-carotene - the body converts into vitamin A, providing over 100% of the daily recommended value in a single cup. Vitamin A is a potent antioxidant that may help strengthen the immune system against viral infections like Hantavirus (orthohantavirus family) This nutrient is crucial for maintaining eye health, immunity, and skin health. One large carrot provides roughly 601 micrograms of vitamin A, about 67% of the recommended daily value.

Immune Support: Vitamin A is considered a powerful antioxidant that can help support the body under the stress of a viral infection.

Fenugreek seed - is widely known for its important medicinal, nutritional, and culinary applications, offering antipyretic, anti-inflammatory, and antiviral effects Has historically provided Hemorrhagic Fever support as evidenced by:https://shorturl.at/hZaay

Also assists in clearing mucus from bronchi - encourages draining of fluid in lungs.

Buckwheat hulls - are one of the best dietary sources of rutin, a bioflavonoid (often referred to as Vitamin P) that plays a critical role in strengthening capillary walls, reducing their fragility, and improving overall vascular integrity.

  • Reduced Vascular Permeability: It helps prevent "leaky" capillaries, which reduces the risk of hemorrhaging, bruising, and edema (swelling)

Burdock root (Arctium lappa) - is traditionally used as a natural diuretic and "blood purifier" to support the body's natural detoxification pathways. It is believed to aid kidney and liver function by promoting the elimination of metabolic waste and toxins.

Nettle leaf (Urtica dioica) - acts as a natural diuretic and anti-inflammatory agent, commonly used to support kidney health by

aiding in detoxification, increasing urine output, and reducing kidney damage.

Lemon - possesses natural antiviral properties, particularly high-concentration lemon juice and peel , which can inhibit certain viruses. High vitamin C and bioflavonoid content in lemons support the immune system during viral infections.

Rose hips - (the fruit of the rose plant) are considered potent natural immune boosters with antiviral and antimicrobial properties, largely due to their high vitamin C, antioxidant, and galactolipid content. They are used in herbal medicine to combat colds and flu, with studies suggesting they can inhibit virus attachment.
